The Maktab Association of South Australia (MASA) delivers high-quality Islamic education programs for maktab, hifz, and adults—primarily online, with face-to-face classes expanding across South Australia and beyond.
MASA offers three comprehensive pathways designed to meet the educational needs of children, youth, and adults at every stage of their Islamic learning journey.

At MASA, we are deeply committed to creating learning spaces where every student feels safe, respected, and valued. Our approach to child safety and ethical education reflects both our Islamic values and our professional responsibility to families who trust us with their children's learning.
We maintain well-defined behavioral guidelines and codes of conduct for students, teachers, and all participants in our programs. Everyone understands what respectful interaction looks like.
All classes—whether online or in-person—are properly supervised with appropriate adult-to-student ratios and transparent class structures that protect student wellbeing.
We maintain open lines of communication with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on student progress and creating partnership in each child's educational journey.
Our instructors are held to high professional and Islamic ethical standards, with ongoing training in appropriate teaching practices and student care.
We recognize that parents entrust us with their most precious responsibility—their children's education and wellbeing. This trust is something we honor through careful planning, transparent practices, and continuous commitment to improvement.

We understand you may have questions about our programs, enrollment process, and learning model. Here are answers to the most common inquiries we receive from families.
Most of our programs are delivered online, which allows us to serve families across Australia. However, we are gradually launching face-to-face classes in selected cities throughout South Australia. Both delivery methods follow the same structured curriculum and quality standards.
Yes. We are rolling out face-to-face classes in selected areas. In-person options are being added gradually to ensure we maintain small class sizes and quality instruction. Register your interest to be notified when classes open near you.
Our maktab program typically serves children from ages 5 to 14, with classes grouped by age and ability level. We assess each child's current knowledge and place them in the appropriate learning group to ensure they're challenged but not overwhelmed.
No prior knowledge is required for our maktab program—we welcome absolute beginners. For hifz students, basic Qur'an reading ability is helpful but we can assess and place students appropriately. Adult learners are welcome regardless of background.
Enrollment begins with an inquiry form where you tell us about your learning goals and preferences. We'll guide you to the right program, discuss scheduling options, and complete registration. Most programs have rolling enrollment, though some may have specific start dates.
Absolutely. Our adult programs are designed to welcome learners at all levels, including those with little to no prior Islamic education. We create supportive environments where questions are encouraged and learning happens at a comfortable pace.
Whether you're seeking foundational Islamic education for your children, pursuing Qur'an memorization, or deepening your own knowledge as an adult, MASA is here to guide you every step of the way. We'll help you find the right program and get started with confidence.
Complete a quick inquiry form and we'll reach out to discuss your needs, answer your questions, and guide you to the program that's the best fit for you or your family. Our enrollment team is here to make the process smooth and welcoming.
