Help us equip our Hybrid Maktab Classrooms

Alhamdulillah, with the generosity of our donors, whom Allah ﷻ blessed with the ability and guidance to contribute to this project, we have reached our goal, you can still contribute more funds to this project which will go towards future expenses for this same project as we roll out this system to other areas or you can assist us by donating to one of our other projects such as the Port Pirie Masjid Renovation project or our ongoing yearly running expenses for our Quran classes in South Australia. May Allah reward those that have contributed to make this project a success, Aameen.

Hybrid Classroom Project

$3,000 of $3,000 raised

At the Maktab Association we believe that the traditional classroom method of teaching Quran produces the best results. Face to face interaction with the learners is the most effective way of ensuring learners are recognising letters and words and then pronouncing them correctly.

We however also face the challenge of not having enough qualified and experienced Quran teachers to accommodate the great need.

For this reason we are embarking on a hybrid maktab classroom project that will enable us to get the best of both.

This can be accomplished by introducing an online teacher who is qualified and experienced into the Maktab classroom to support and guide learning, in association with the face to face teacher who is present in the classroom as an assistant. We have tested this system and found it to be very beneficial and we now wish to implement this in our current Maktab classes at Royal Park in Adelaide as well as establish new locations for learning which we were unable to do before due to lack of qualified Quran teachers.

In order to accomplish this we need to purchase equipment including monitors, webcams, microphones and videoconferencing boxes as well as set them up in our classrooms.

For this noble project your support will enable you to share in the continuous rewards that accrue from the learning and teaching of Qur’aan.

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “When a man dies, his deeds come to an end except for three things: Sadaqah Jariyah (ceaseless charity); knowledge which people benefit from, or a virtuous child who prays for him (for the deceased).”[Muslim].

Please donate generously to this cause, may Allah ﷻ accept your contribution and grant you barakah in your remaining wealth. Aameen.
